Čupić: The cost of capital in Croatia is high
Director Denis Čupić talked in HRT’s show ‘Tema dana’ about the Real Estate Market. He noted that there are virtually no quality flats on the market because they are already being sold during construction.
He argued that the cost of capital in Croatia is high, the VAT on apartments is high, the communal fee per square meter is 250 to 280 kuna and all this results in higher basic parameters in the price of the apartment.- Slovenia has a VAT on apartments up to 120 square meters of 9 percent.
There is a HUP initiative to introduce such a model in Croatia, he pointed out.
